Melissa’s passion for helping the hearing impaired began when she was 5 years old. She accompanied her father on road trips to his patients’ homes to test their hearing, repair broken hearing aids and fit them with new hearing instruments. She learned firsthand how important it is to treat patients with kindness, dignity and respect.
Melissa is the 4th generation of her family to help people hear better with Beltone technology. Her great grandfather worked with Beltone in the 1940’s; her grandfather and father followed in his footsteps. Each of them held several hearing aid patents and were extremely dedicated to helping the hard of hearing in every way possible. When they couldn’t find a solution, they built one. Melissa is proud to say that she carries on the family tradition of excellence in care and service.
For over 30 years Melissa has honed her skills by working in almost every aspect of the hearing health care field: from building and repairing hearing instruments to working alongside some of the industry’s leading engineers and audiologists developing the software used to program them.
Melissa always comes back to direct patient care because her true passion lies in helping people hear better. The pleasure she receives from being the first person they see in their quest to find hearing help is something that is extremely exciting and rewarding to her.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Melissa and her husband Brian, share a passion for long range rifle practice at the range. She enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, and rock hunting with her children Michael and Nicole, her son-in-law Ignacio, and her grandchildren Sena, Jonathan and Lily. Melissa’s passion for the outdoors is also close to home as she is a back yard birder who has developed her gardens to reflect her love of birds, butterflies and bees.
